ALEX-s CCD Camera from greateyes Used in APT Research
The ALEX-s 2k512 BI CCD camera from greateyes was integrated into a sophisticated EUV beamline used for atom probe tomography (APT) research.
In this setup, the camera is a key component of the EUV imaging spectrometer, operating in a 1:1 imaging configuration to capture emission directly from the capillary source. Combined with conical diffraction gratings and precision toroidal optics, this system enables high-fidelity spectral measurements in extreme environments.
Congratulations to the researchers from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Boulder, Colorado. Their publication is entitled, “Atom probe tomography using an extreme ultraviolet trigger pulse.”
greatyes is happy to support frontier research in ultrafast and high-energy optics.
About greateyes Cameras
greateyes offers a series of high-performance, cooled, full-frame, CCD scientific cameras for imaging and spectroscopy in the range of X-ray to near-infrared (NIR). The cameras combine scientific, highly sensitive CCD sensors and ultra-low noise electronics for optimal detection of weak signals and measurements with high dynamic range. They can be used as detectors for a broad range of applications common in the industrial and scientific community, including:
- Spectroscopy
- Imaging
