All Tissue Dental Treatments Using Laser Ablation
In a video, Access Laser interviews co-principal investigators Professor John A. Sorensen DMD, PhD and Professor Hai Zhang DMD, PhD of the Department of Restorative Dentistry’s Biomimetics, Biomaterials, Biophotonics, Biomechanics & Technology (B4T) Laboratory at the University of Washington. These dental researchers discuss their work utilizing an Access Laser 9.3 µm DL500 all-tissue dental laser.
Their research validates the efficacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of laser ablation for tooth preparation. Ultimatley, their goal is to establish a new technology of Computer Aided Preparation (CAP), enabled by precise laser ablation.
They hope that this technique will be added it to the existing CAD/CAM digital dentistry workflow to make whole restorative dentistry treatment a complete digital solution (CAP/CAD/CAM) from start to finish.
