Fast Oxygen mapping
Introducing a Frequency domain FLIM module dedicated to measuring phosphorescence lifetimes. Its camera-based acquisition is inherently fast, making it especially well-suited for automated screening of large samples. Moreover, using state-of-the-art image intensifiers the LIFA-P camera attains a spatial resolution matching that of EMCCD cameras.
A much used application is oxygen mapping in for example cells, tissues or in microfluidic chips; after calibrating the phosphorescence lifetime against the Oxygen concentration – using the well-known Stern-Volmer relation – the LIFA-P system can be used to map the distribution and dynamics of Oxygen.
