Precise optical mapping of cardiac activity in human stem cell-derived cells could accelerate drug safety screening and cardiac disease research.
Researchers combined voltage and calcium sensors with a synchronized LED-camera system using Chroma excitation filters to capture real-time cellular signals.
The published protocol is entitled, “Protocol for dual-optical mapping of voltage and calcium sensors in human pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes.”
