greateyes Imaging Technology Advances Photovoltaic Research
In the study “Fast and Simple Series Resistance Imaging for Tandem Solar Cells Using Differential Luminescence,” a greateyes PL system equipped with the ELSEi 1k1k BI MID silicon CCD camera was used to capture high-sensitivity luminescence data.
About ELSE for Imaging
ELSEi integrates cutting-edge low-noise electronics and ultra-deep cooling technology to provide high resolution up to 16.8 megapixels, while keeping a compact camera design. Multiple readout speeds can be selected, supporting pixel rates from 50 kHz up to 5 MHz.
Functionalities include:
- Fully flexible binning operation
- Various trigger and synchronization modes
- Crop and Burst mode
- Software-selectable gain
- Temperature monitoring of the sensor and the Peltier hot side.
True 18-bit AD conversion enables the exploitation of the full dynamic range of the CCD sensor for the highest performance and SNR. Choose from a wide range of sensors to find the best match with your requirements. ELSEi is ideally suited for detection of very weak signal intensities where a low-noise floor is paramount.
Typical applications for ELSEi include:
- In-vivo Fluorescence Bioimaging
- Astronomy
- LIBS Spectroscopy
- Neutron Tomography
- EL / PL Imaging
- Ultracold Quantum Studies
