greateyes Introduces the ELSE-s 2k256
To meet growing industrial demand, greateyes is excited to announce the addition of the ELSE-s 2k256 series to the ELSE camera family. This new series offers three sensors: FI, BI DD, and DD NIR.
With a narrow sensor format of 2048×256 pixels, this camera is ideal for spectroscopic applications requiring high spatial resolution along the dispersion axis, all while reducing costs and sensor surface compared to the 2048 × 512 pixels series. This camera is designed for Raman spectroscopy.
ELSE Camera Family
Since its 2019 launch, ELSE, greateyes’s versatile camera platform, has earned acclaim for its broad applicability in spectroscopy and imaging across UV, VIS, and NIR ranges. Users value its flexible features, including adjustable binning, multiple readout speeds, and various triggers/synchronization modes. These compact cameras deliver market-leading signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) via true 18-bit digitization and deep cooled, high performance CCD detectors.
Typical applications include LIBS or Raman spectroscopy, (in-vivo) fluorescence imagining, luminescence imaging, astronomy, and more.
Features for the ELSE for UV VIS NIR include:
- Wavelength range: 160–1100 nm
- Pixel size: 15 µm x 15 µm
- Image area: 30.7 mm x 3.9 mm
This series of highly sensitive, cooled cameras is equipped with ultra-low noise 18-bit readout electronics. Due to the large, full-well capacity, very high signal-to-noise ratios are possible. The CCD detectors deliver spectra and images with outstanding dynamic range. To find the best solution for your application, greateyes offers various scientific CCD sensors with different technologies and coatings with quantum efficiencies up to 98%.
