IDQ Introduces PMF-Coupled SNSPDs
Polarization Maintaining Fiber (PMF) coupled Superconducting Nanowire Single-Photon Detectors (SNSPDs) bring simplicity and stability for remote operation.
For quantum applications where polarization stability in a remote location is critical, ID Quantique (IDQ) introduces PMF coupling options for their ID281 and ID281 Pro SNSPDs. Operation in an Optical Ground Station for Space QKD, in a quantum-enabled telecom room for quantum networks, or in a quantum computing facility just got simpler.
Advantages of PMF coupling include:
- Achieve a plug-&-play high efficiency without polarization alignment
- Up to 16 PMF coupled SNSPDs in a single system
- Low DCR (<100 cps) with trusted IDQ performance
No need to manage your input polarization: just plug in and your SNSPDs will do what they are designed to do.
