Isotopic Shift Analysis of GdO by LAMIS
A recently published paper entitled “Isotopic Shift Analysis of GdO by LAMIS” discusses isotopic analysis of rare earth elements. The research depended heavily upon the capabilities of the Demon HR Double Echelle Monochromator from LTB Lasertechnik Berlin. This research is a collaboration between Ariel University and Institut Lumière Matière.
Here is the Abstract of this paper:
The Demon HR Double Echelle Monochromator proved its adequate spectral resolution and sensitivity for isotopic analysis of Rare Earth Elements. For the example of GdO, both vibrational and rotational transitions are favorable for isotopic shift study. Presently, the A(1-0), A(1-2), and A(2-1) demonstrate apparent differences between natural GdO, 156GdO, and 158GdO emissions.
