A PHAROS laser from Light Conversion equipped with an I-OPA was used to investigate the magnetic skyrmion phase in GaV₄S₈. It was found that skyrmions show a coherent spin precession that can be detected using an ultrafast magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) experiment. The optical detection of the skyrmion phase is crucial for its use in future spintronics devices.

ContrastMax filters from Chroma Technology feature sputtered interference coatings, engineered for automated vision applications like machine vision and robotic guidance. These optical filters offer superior levels of contrast and blocking of unwanted light, while also performing well at wide viewing angles.
Laser beam splitting optics enable many laser applications by splitting a laser beam in a precise manner. A growing family of laser beam splitting applications is in the field of thin sheet perforation. By splitting a laser beam using diffractive laser beam splitters, many holes can be made simultaneously, enabling higher process speeds and throughput.
A single DOE splitter and a large field focus optic are enough to cover a large area of more than 20X20 cm with a perforation pattern in a very short time, enabling high speed, roll-based production schemes.
This process can also be easily integrated into existing manufacturing processes.
