This laser is specially designed to detect gases, such as methane (CH4), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), ammonia (NH3), water (H2O), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), ethane (C2H4), hydrogen fluoride (HF), acetylene (C2H2), and others.
