Chroma Technology’s optical filters empower researchers to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible.

A​​ recently published paper​​ is​​ entitled “miRNA Circuit Modules for Precise, Tunable Control of Gene Expression.

The experimental setup​​ for this research​​ included a 560-nm laser beam cleaned with a filter (Chroma Technology, no. ZET561/10)​​ and​​ coupled into the microscope with a beam splitter (Chroma Technology, no. ZT561rdc). The fluorescent signal was filtered with an emission filter (Chroma Technology, nos. ET600/50m and ET575lp) and projected onto a sCMOS camera.

A​​ recently published paper, entitled “Engineering Multivalent Fc Display for FcγR Blockade” utilized optical filters from​​ Chroma Technology.

In the experimental setup for this​​ research, a light beam was passed through a filter cube (Chroma Technology, 89901), comprising an excitation quadband filter, a quadband dichroic filter, and a quadband emission filter (Chroma Technology,​​ ZET405/488/561/640x, ZET405/488/561/640bs, and​​ ZET405/488/561/640m).​​ Emission filter (Chroma Technology, ET595/50m) was used to spectrally filter the fluorescence light that was captured on an EMCCD camera.

Raman spectroscopy is a sophisticated chemical identification method that fingerprints samples according to molecular vibrational modes. These are detectable as a wavelength shift of inelastically scattered monochromatic light, known as the Raman Effect.

Based​​ on their collaboration with the Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und- prüfung on lithium isotopes,​​ LTB Lasertechnik Berlin​​ (LTB)​​ are nearing the completion of a​​ new​​ commercial product​​ – DEMON II.

The DEMON II now enables users to achieve a new level of resolving power within the same compact size of its predecessor. The project team has conducted initial measurements using the new DEMON II, which truly represents an evolution of their well-known high resolution, echelle spectrometer DEMON.

LTB are excited to show you this impressive spectrum from a lithium hollow cathode lamp, clearly resolving the isotopic shift of 15​​ pm for​​ the lithium lines at 670.7 nm.

A recently published paper entitled “Isotopic Shift Analysis of GdO by LAMIS” discusses isotopic analysis of rare earth elements.

The research depended heavily upon the capabilities of the Demon HR Double Echelle Monochromator from LTB Lasertechnik Berlin.​​
