Precision Raman Spectroscopy
Raman Spectroscopy is commonly used in process monitoring and control. It is an effective technique because it can be performed in line, giving non-invasive, fast measurements and unambiguous identification with suitable calibration for precise analysis. The laser requirements often needed in an in-line Raman setup include high power, high power stability and low noise levels. The axiom, finesse and finesse pure from Laser Quantum all meet these specifications and enable sensitive, repeatable measurements.
In a recent article, researchers at the Tritium Laboratory Karlsruhe (KIT) discuss how they used the finesse laser in their flagship experiment KATRIN (KArlsruhe TRItium Neutrino mass). This experiment employs high resolution spectroscopy to deliver precise analysis of tritium-containing gases.
