Superlum Introduces Very High-Power SLDs at 780-nm Range
Superlum Diodes is pleased to announce further success in increasing the power of its 780-nm SLDs. The new part number S780.14.30 features an output power of up to 30 mW, whether in SM or PM fiber. This model offers a flat spectrum with minimal ripple and a 3-dB bandwidth typically around 14 nm.
Additionally, as part of this development, the company is upgrading the ratings of the previous model, S780.14.15, which had a maximum output of 15 mW to 20 mW. The new part number for this upgraded version will be S780.14.20. This change will incur no extra costs for customers.
With the introduction of the S780.14.30 to their product lineup, alongside the recently launched 50-mW MOPA-SLD light sources at 790 nm, Superlum now offers customers a more flexible selection of moderate-bandwidth, low-coherence SLDs and SLD-based light sources in the 780–790 nm range.
About Superlum Diodes
For decades, Superlum Diodes has been manufacturing high quality superluminescent diodes (SLDs).
Their main products are free space SLD modules and SM and PM fiber pigtailed SLD modules based on a single transverse mode SLD emitters, as well as multimode fiber pigtailed SLD modules in different spectral bands from 650 nm to 1620 nm, including extremely powerful (up to 100 mW) and broadband (up to 100 nm FWHM) models.
Custom performance characteristics and different package types are available upon request. For customers’ convenience, modules can be delivered with an appropriate current and temperature controller.
