Superlum Launches New 50 mW MOPA SLD at 795 nm
Superlum Diodes is addressing the increasing demand for high-performance broadband light sources in the NIR spectrum with the introduction of a new 50-mW PMF MOPA SLD light source, operating at a wavelength of 795 nm with a 10 nm bandwidth (Part Number: cBLMD-M795.50P ).
These MOPA-SLD light sources utilize a medium-power master SLD, whose power is boosted by a perfectly matched SOA. This advanced approach not only increases the stability and output power of the SLD-based light sources, but also significantly reduces sensitivity to optical feedback.
Additionally, this configuration contributes to improved stability by maintaining moderate driving conditions for both the master SLD and the boosting SOA.
These sources represent the most powerful SLD-based light sources currently available in the NIR range below 800 nm.
About Superlum Diodes
For decades, Superlum Diodes has been manufacturing high quality superluminescent diodes (SLDs).
Their main products are free space SLD modules and SM and PM fiber pigtailed SLD modules based on a single transverse mode SLD emitters, as well as multimode fiber pigtailed SLD modules in different spectral bands from 650 nm to 1620 nm, including extremely powerful (up to 100 mW) and broadband (up to 100 nm FWHM) models.
Custom performance characteristics and different package types are available upon request. For customers’ convenience, modules can be delivered with an appropriate current and temperature controller.
