Superlum Unveils Medium-Power SLD at 1585 nm
Superlum Diodes is revising its superluminescent diode (SLD) product line in the 1500–1600 nm range. The company is excited to announce the addition of a new medium-power, cost-effective SLD that operates at 1585 nm. This device features up to 5 mW of fiber output power. The part number for this series of SLDs is S1585.30.5.
These modules are suitable for various applications, including fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors, fiber optic gyroscopes, and optical metrology.
Stay tuned for more products to the 1500–1600 nm line that Superlum plans to introduce soon.
About Superlum Diodes
For decades, Superlum Diodes has been manufacturing high quality superluminescent diodes (SLDs).
Their main products are free space SLD modules and SM and PM fiber pigtailed SLD modules based on a single transverse mode SLD emitters, as well as multimode fiber pigtailed SLD modules in different spectral bands from 650 nm to 1620 nm, including extremely powerful (up to 100 mW) and broadband (up to 100 nm FWHM) models.
Custom performance characteristics and different package types are available upon request. For customers’ convenience, modules can be delivered with an appropriate current and temperature controller.
