Thin-Disk-Pumped OPCPA System beyond Terawatt Level
Researchers from MBI Berlin and ETH Zürich use a Yb: KGW-driven frontend built by Light Conversion to demonstrate the first thin-disk-pumped OPCPA system beyond the terawatt level. The terawatt pulses generate intense extreme ultraviolet (EUV) pulses by high-order harmonic generation.
Part of the experimental setup for this research included a Yb:KGW-driven frontend. This provides the seed pulses for the pump and provides, following white light generation, optically synchronized signal pulses for the three consecutive OPCPA stages.
