Two New Narrowband Filters for Astronomy Applications
Chroma Technology has added two new narrowband filters to their astronomy catalog.
The 27014 – Venus NIR Terrestrial 1010/14 nm is built around the narrow spectral window where thermal radiation from Venus’s surface can be detected directly, rather than by reflected sunlight.
The 27068 – He-II CT468.6/4bp nm targets the helium II emission line, useful for studying some of the hottest stars and nebulae in the universe where helium has been ionized at least twice.
