Understanding Palladium Catalysts with X-Ray Emission Spectroscopy
greateyes CCD technology is at the heart of new published research into palladium catalysts. This publication is entitled, “Evaluating Palladium 4d-to-2p X-ray Emission Spectroscopy for Characterizing Catalytically Relevant Species.”
Using a greateyes detector at the BESSY II synchrotron, researchers were able to use L-shell X-ray Emission Spectroscopy to “see” atomic interactions with much higher clarity than traditional methods allow.
The high-resolution data provide scientists a better look at how molecules bind to metal centers, which is a huge step forward in designing more efficient fuel cells and cleaner industrial processes.
About greateyes Cameras
greateyes offers a series of high-performance, cooled, full-frame, CCD scientific cameras for imaging and spectroscopy in the range of X-ray to near-infrared (NIR). The cameras combine scientific, highly sensitive CCD sensors and ultra-low noise electronics for optimal detection of weak signals and measurements with high dynamic range. They can be used as detectors for a broad range of applications common in the industrial and scientific community, including:
- Spectroscopy
- Imaging
